Although OASIS data collection is not a new activity for home health clinicians, it consistently remains a source of confusion and frustration. Periodically the tool is updated which brings a mix of changes – some seen as positive and others causing concern. This two-part webinar series is intended to provide an overview of the OASIS D, which goes live on January 1, 2019. This session will cover the brand new items that are being added to the data collection tool.



This chapter will examine the data collection items as they relate to falls. Understanding the definitions provided in the response specific instructions are critical to accurate reporting.


