We simplify the complicated neurological anatomy to provide a connection to function. Neurological dysfunction is later addressed as it relates to the diagnoses of ADHD, Sensory Processing, and Autism. Finally the course reviews both traditional and innovative intervention approaches and their connection to neuroplasticity.

This chapter reviews the various patterns of sensory processing disorder. The review relates to typical patterns revealed in diagnoses such as ADHD and Autism. Direct correlations are made to the neuroanatomy review from chapter 1. The chapter ends with a discussion on neuroplasticity to begin investigating intervention.
