Dr. Schreyer is co-owner of Aspire Physical Therapy & Fitness P.C., and co-owner of the Aspire Center for Health + Wellness, New York City's first all-inclusive health & wellness center. In addition to his Practice, Dr. Schreyer is also a Faculty Professor at Touro College in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program where he teaches Human Anatomy, Prosthetics & Orthotics, Clinical Neurology, and Neurological Rehabilitation while conducting research on a regular basis. Dr. Schreyer has also served as an adjunct professor at Columbia University and Hunter College.
He is a licensed Physical Therapist (NY/NJ), Board Certified Neurological Specialist (NCS), Multiple Sclerosis Certified Specialist (MSCS), and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with extensive training in the evaluation and treatment of individuals with neurologic conditions.
Dr. Schreyer received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from New York University and is a graduate of Rutgers University, receiving a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science. He is very well-versed in the physical therapy arena, having practiced in two world renowned rehabilitation centers, Mt. Sinai and Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. Dr. Schreyer has worked with individuals with a wide array of diagnoses from spinal cord, stroke, amputations, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and brain injury, to orthopedic injuries. Dr. Schreyer continues his education with ongoing continuing education courses and certifications. He was recently certified in the specialized Parkinson's treatment LSVT BIG, and is seeking further knowledge on a daily basis.
Dr. Schreyer has recently had the honor of Co-authoring a Chapter on Multiple Sclerosis in the popular physical therapy textbook Physical Rehabilitation with Susan O’Sullivan. Dr. Schreyer is also featured throughout the text providing demonstrations of treatment techniques for individuals with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Spinal Cord Injury and General Deconditioning.
Dr. Schreyer takes great pride in his ongoing research and has been both an invited lecturer at National Conferences and has presented his research at National Conferences.
